Offshore Special Regulations 2008-2009
Entry to RSYC races requires conformance to Offshore Special Regulations (OSR); category 4 for most races and Category 3 for some. In addition, all our cross channel races require a liferaft that conforms to the OSR requirement for Category 2. Details of the race categories for RSYC events can be found in the Notice of Race.
We have been informed that there will be changes to OSR, effective from January 2008, which will affect the requirements for these categories. The table below summarises the changes that affect boats entering RSYC events#.
You should carefully read the new regulations and ensure that your boat complies with the requirements for the races you enter. The Offshore Special Regulations can be downloaded from the ISAF website at http://www.sailing.org/specialregs.
