FOR the hardy souls who stay afloat all year round our choice of Frostbite Rallies this year offer a limited number of berths. Each destination has been selected so that arrival by road is an option if the weather is inclement or your vessel is laid up for the winter.
Frostbite Rally to Royal Southern YC
January 28 and 29
Hosts:
Our first port of call this year is a visit to one of our reciprocal clubs, the Royal Southern. This is a chance for us to help them celebrate their 175th anniversary. How could we not wish them well; the Club's first name was the Royal Southampton Yacht Club!
Frostbite Rally to Warsash Sailing Club February 11and 12
Hosts:
Our second destination is also on the Hamble and more familiar to our mid week cruisers. They will tell you of the warm reception we always receive at one of our favourite lunch time stops.
Frostbite Rally to Marchwood YC
March 10 and 11
Hosts:
For the last five years Marchwood YC has justified its position as our first rally of the year by the quality of the welcome from their members. For the first time visitor the navigation can be a challenge and the weather may be indifferent but the only reason we have moved the date is because of a clash on the calendar.
