ITCHENOR SAILING CLUB

HOME ¦ CLUB ¦ RACING ¦ MOTOR BOATS ¦ WHAT'S ON ¦ GINS ¦ DINING

August 9/10

Host: John & Julia Strudwick (Selene)

We have not explored Chichester Harbour for a while, so we have arranged to visit the delightful Itchenor Sailing Club, situated on the South shore as you head up the Chichester Channel towards Chichester itself.

After you’ve rounded West Pole (usually a gybe!) and then enjoyed the sport of dodging the racing dinghies, you’ll gaze upon the wonderful views of the downs as you turn to starboard to pass East Head and then approach Itchenor.

There are a number of large visitors’ mooring buoys and a floating pontoon, so you’ll need your tender to go ashore where we will enjoy the usual good food and warm welcome at the Sailing Club.

There is a lovely ambience to the place, and if the weather is good, one can even eat al-fresco on the terrace.

Each mooring buoy is designed to take six boats, so your hosts will try to reserve a couple exclusively for us. Access is available at all states of tide.

Please note that the Harbourmaster is on VHF channel 14.
