WELCOME

The aim of the Cruising section of RSYC is to provide a varied programme of events with the intention of bringing together both sailing and power boat members.

This year, in addition to weekend rallies, there are two extended cruises, one to France, the other to the West Country and a continuation of the regular Wednesday cruises. The Deauville Yacht Club has again invited the RSYC to their prestigious Sea Horse Rally; this is a spectacular meeting during which we enjoy excellent hospitality.

Events which are intended to provide enjoyable fellowship in addition to encouraging members to hone their already formidable boating skills!

This year we have introduced a couple of rallies to “wild moorings” together with an outing which will give you the opportunity to try out your “Man Overboard” techniques.Learning can be a lot of fun!

One particularly important date for your diary is the Briefing Supper on March 8, during which we shall hope to hear your thoughts, aspirations and suggestions for our future programme.

Whatever the weather brings in 2008, Bob Stevenson, Captain of Cruising, and the members of your Cruising Committee wish you a most enjoyable season and look forward to welcoming you to our events.

Don’t forget, if you are not able to arrive by boat you are most welcome to attend by car.

Bob Stevenson, Captain of Cruising
