The chairmen of two of the Club’s principal sub committees are to go head to head in a bid to become the next Rear Commodore House of the Royal Southampton.
Margaret Lund, chairman of the Club’s social sub committee and Graham Davies, former chairman of the Gins sub committee and currently chairman of the Club’s membership sub committee, are both seeking election as flag officer in the role of Rear Commodore House.
Details of their bid for the flag officer role are released in the formal papers for the Club’s forthcoming annual general meeting to be held at Ocean Village on Saturday, November 7.
Margaret Lund has been a member for eight years, and Graham Davies has been a member since 2002, having had earlier links through a former role as Rear Commodore of the Sussex Yacht Club.
The vacancy is created by Susan Lamb, present Rear Commodore House, being nominated to become the next Vice-Commodore.
