This hotel right in the centre of Hondarribia, in the picturesque fishing quarter of La Marina has been selected as the accommodation base for the race management team in Hondarribia and also to be the focal Tapas Bar for our competitors.

We were attracted to this 3 star hotel, situated on the fringe of the main restaurant and bar area of the town, by the photos of sailing yachts around the walls.

It has transpired that these were the yachts of the hotel owner, who sadly died about two years ago, but he really loved cruising the south coast of the UK, and his widow Maite, still has very fond memories of those trips. As a result she is very keen to be involved with this Race, starting from the hub of UK yachting. I have a good feeling that we will be well looked after here and it helps that she has given us good rates for any competitors who may wish their families to join them, or who would like the creature comforts of a shore based bedroom.
