Meet our chefs

WE have an accomplished team of chefs in our new kitchen who are determined to stamp their identity on the Royal Southampton's cuisine.

 

Glenn Shears who has been with the Royal Southampton a number of years, and has a passion for good cooking and the food he prepares, is head chef, and has been joined by Tibor Suli who is a very able Hungarian chef who worked as a chef at Makro and more recently has undertaken agency work until joining us in May last year.

 

The second chef position has been filled by Ahmed Hilmi, who has joined the Royal Southampton from the Grand Harbour Hotel. Prior to working for the De Vere group he was chef at the British Sailors Society in Southampton. He is a graduate from Cairo university and has now settled in Southampton with his English wife, Debbie
