The party theme for the Ragtime Party at Gins was the 1920's era and everyone was treated to an imaginary trip to New York, from Southampton, in the golden age of the Cunard transatlantic liners with dinner being served in the famous "Cotton Club. A perfect evening commenced with cocktails and canapés on the lawn alongside the beautiful Beaulieu River in what can only be described as perfect summer conditions. Thanks go to the team of willing helpers who laboured tirelessly for over a week to get everything ready and to the staff who worked hard to make the evening perfect for those who attended. >>> more

ADOPT A DINGHY GETTING out on the Beaulieu River in a dinghy is one of the enjoyable facets of being a member of the Royal Southampton and there are some parts of the river which can only be reached with a dinghy. >>>more |
