Easter Holiday Activity

Over the Easter break the RSYC Cadets were offered, as part of the Cadet programme, the opportunity to take part in some basic training on driving and operating the Club’s Rib.

It was a cold and blustery day. The Cadets, however, braved the elements, wrapped up warm and set off to Southampton Water.

Once out of Ocean Village, they were able to take turns in driving the Rib and doing some high speed runs and turns out on Southampton Water.  Later, they carried out some manoeuvres on the River Itchen before returning to Ocean Village.

This is always a popular activity for our Cadets and we would urge anyone with youngsters who might benefit from this training to look out for the opportunity when it is offered next year.
