THE RULES
1.This competition is organised by the Royal Southampton Yacht Club and is open to any member or Cadet member.
2. Members may enter a maximum of three entries per person in each category.
3. Photographs can be colour or black and white, but must be submitted on photo quality paper with a minimum size of 18cm x 13cm (7"x5"), and maximum size of 21cm x 29.7cm (A4). A digital jpg file should be submitted along with the entry. These can be submitted by email to rsyc@mac.com or on CD or computer memory stick. The judges will reach their decision from the submitted printed photograph
4. Images which have been digitally edited are permitted.
6. The following details must be added to the back of each photograph:
Photographers name and contact details / when and where taken / title (if
appropriate).
7. All photographs must be taken within the region of Solent sailing waters, including the Isle of Wight or within 20 miles of the coast if inland, or further afield if on a Club organized event, on water or land.
8. When people are photographed for personality pictures please get their permission,. and if children are photographed you must submit evidence of written permission of the parent or guardian with your entry.
10. Preference will be given to photographs which have not been published in print or electronically elsewhere.
11. The copyright of all entries will remain with the photographer, but all entries may be added to the Club’s photo database and may be used in Club publications, publicity and/or online. Should any photograph submitted be published in a Club publication or online, the photographer will be credited but no payment will be made.
12. The RSYC takes no responsibility for entries lost or damaged in the post, nor undertakes to return images to those participating in the competition.
14. All entries to be submitted to theClub Editor at Ocean Village.
