The Royal Southampton is fortunate in having not just one, but two Clubhouses on some of the finest sailing waters in the United Kingdom.
Situated on the beautiful Beaulieu River and with panoramic views across to the Isle of Wight, Gins Clubhouse is an informal, relaxed venue which is regarded by many as the jewel in the crown.
It has a newly extended pontoon on the river, providing landing and mooring facilities for members and visitors and has additional moorings on the river itself, with a boatswain service to bring crew ashore or return to their boats.
Gins is an integral part of the Royal Southampton, yet we will be first to admit, has a unique identity of its own.
Gins is a focal point of river life and welcomes visiting rallies and yachtsmen belonging to reciprocal clubs. The Club Bosun can assist visiting members in finding temporary moorings and ferrying crew from river moorings to and from the clubhouse.
Gins also serves as a safe base for our developing Cadet section, which offers free membership to children and grandchildren of members. Sailing instruction days combining learning with fun are regularly organised with RYA approved training staff.
