ENSURING
TOP QUALITY RACING
The Royal Southampton is delighted to announce that it starts 2012 with the appointment of two further RYA race official qualifications to add to the pot.
Tony Knight, Club Treasurer, has been awarded the status of Regional Race Officer and becomes the fifth member to achieve this qualification in the last two years. Richard House became a National Judge having submitted a strong application supported by attendance at 11 events outside of RSYC including four National Championships.
Richard has committed a lot of hard work to his development as a judge and demonstrates well the need to go elsewhere to gain the necessary experience required by a national qualification. This in itself benefits our club enormously.
The Club now has an impressive number of race officials amongst its ordinary members — one International Race Officer, two National Race Officers, ten Regional Race Officers, one Regional Mark Layer and two National Judges.
Our race officials have worked very hard over the past three years to gain experience and well deserved qualifications - the quality of the racing the Club provides reflects this.
It has never been as good!
